ABOUT US

The NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, committed to ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all people. Our local branch serves as a hub for advocacy, education, and action within our community.

We work to address issues that directly impact our residents, including economic opportunity, education, health equity, criminal justice, and civic engagement. Through partnerships, programming, and grassroots involvement, we aim to create meaningful change that is both sustainable and community-driven.

Our mission is simple but serious: protect civil rights, uplift our people, and hold systems accountable while building pathways forward.
